How do you combine PDFs online?
Drop two or more PDFs into the merge tool above, drag the thumbnails into the order you want, and click Merge & Download. The pages are copied into one file, merged.pdf, inside your browser, so nothing is uploaded or re-encoded. You can combine up to 20 PDFs at a time, free and without an account.

Can I combine PDFs online for free?
Yes. This tool merges PDFs in your browser at no cost and with no account: the files are combined on your device and never uploaded, so it works for contracts and statements as well as anything else. Drop the files in, order them, and download one PDF.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
Up to 20 per merge: the drop box and the Add more tile both stop at 20 files. The tool sets no file size cap, but every file is read into your browser's memory, so a stack of large scans can be slow on a phone. For more than 20, merge in batches and then merge the results.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Each page is copied into the new file as it is: text stays selectable, and images are not re-compressed, so the merged PDF looks exactly like the originals. One thing does not carry over: bookmarks from the source files, because they belong to each document rather than to its pages.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. A PDF with an open or edit password is refused, and the tool shows an error instead of merging. Remove the password first in a reader that knows it, or follow our guide to unlocking a PDF, then drop the unlocked copy in with the others and merge as usual.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The merge runs in this browser tab with the open-source pdf-lib library, and the result is saved straight to your downloads. No file is sent to The Drive AI or anyone else, and closing the tab clears everything. That is why the tool is safe to use for contracts and bank statements.
Can I change the order of single pages?
The merge tool orders whole files. To move individual pages, merge first, then open merged.pdf in Reorder PDF Pages and drag the pages where they belong, or use Delete PDF Pages to drop the ones you do not need. Both tools also run in your browser and copy pages without re-compression.
