Open your cloud storage
Navigate to Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox as you normally would. Click the extension icon to open the AI sidebar.

Ask it inside drive.google.com, onedrive.live.com, or dropbox.com and it sorts, renames, moves, and shares what is already there. The files never leave your storage and nothing is imported. This is the answer to "can it organize the files I already have?"

The assistant organizes, searches, and answers questions about files that are in The Drive AI — uploads, email attachments, and anything you import from a connected drive. Importing copies files in and leaves the original account as it was.

Questions answered
Can it organize the files I already have?
Yes — that is what it is for. Open your cloud storage and ask it to sort, rename, or move what is already sitting there. The files stay in Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox the whole time; nothing is copied into The Drive AI and nothing is migrated. The assistant in the web app works on files that are in The Drive AI instead, so for a connected drive that route means importing them first.
Which cloud platforms are supported?
The extension works inside Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and Dropbox, adding an AI sidebar to the native interface of each. SharePoint is not one of them yet — the web app connects SharePoint for import, export, and workflows.
Does it access my files?
The extension only interacts with files when you ask it to. It reads file metadata to understand your storage structure and accesses file content only when needed for a specific operation you request.
Which browsers are supported?
Currently available for Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc). Firefox and Safari support is planned.
Is it free?
The extension is free to install and use with any The Drive AI account. Some advanced features are available with a paid plan.
Does it work with my existing folder structure?
Yes. The extension works with whatever folder structure you already have. It reads and respects your existing organization and only makes changes when you ask.
Do I need this if I already use the web app?
They do different jobs. The extension acts on files where they already live, on demand, inside Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox. The web app is where files in The Drive AI are managed, searched, signed, and shared with your team, and where you build workflows that file new arrivals automatically — including a scheduled one that goes back through a connected folder on its own. Most people use both.
