How do you convert a PDF to JPG?
Open the PDF in the converter above, pick Medium, High or Maximum quality, leave every page selected or click thumbnails to leave pages out, then click Convert to JPG. Each page is rendered at twice its PDF size and saved as its own image, page-1.jpg, page-2.jpg and so on, without any upload.

What resolution are the JPG images?
Pages are rendered at twice their PDF size, which works out to 144 dots per inch: a US Letter page becomes a 1224 by 1584 pixel image. The quality setting changes only the JPG compression, 70 for Medium, 92 for High and 100 for Maximum. There is no 300 dpi option for print.
Why does each page download as a separate file?
Each selected page is saved as its own JPG named after its page number, with a short pause between downloads. Your browser may ask once whether to allow multiple downloads; allow it, or only the first image arrives. There is no ZIP option, so for long documents select just the pages you need.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. All pages are selected when the PDF loads, and clicking a thumbnail toggles it: dimmed pages are skipped, pages with a check mark are converted. The button counts the pages it will convert, so you can confirm the selection before anything downloads. Files are named by their original page number either way.
Can I get editable text instead of an image?
Not from a JPG: it is a picture of the page, so its text cannot be selected or edited. For editable text, convert the PDF to Word, which needs OCR when the PDF is a scan, or to Excel when the content is tables. Our guides to scanned PDF to Word and PDF to Excel cover both.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Pages are drawn with PDF.js on a canvas in this browser tab and saved as JPG by the browser itself. The page fetches the PDF.js program code from a public CDN, but only code travels that way; your PDF and the images made from it stay on your device.
