How to Remove Pages from a PDF
You received a 40-page document but only need pages 1 through 12. Or there is a blank page in the middle that should not be there. Or the last few pages contain information you do not want to share.
Removing pages from a PDF should be simple, and it is — you do not need Acrobat or any installed software.
How to delete pages from a PDF
- Open the Delete PDF Pages tool
- Upload your PDF
- You will see a thumbnail preview of every page
- Select pages to delete:
- Click a page to toggle it
- Shift-click to select a range
- Drag across pages to select multiple at once
- Selected pages are dimmed with a trash icon overlay
- Click Remove & Download
The result is a new PDF with only the pages you kept. Your original file is never modified.
Common scenarios
Removing blank pages
Scanned documents and exported files often include blank pages. Click each blank page to mark it for deletion, or drag across a section of blanks to select them all at once.
Extracting a section
If you need pages 5 through 15 of a 50-page document, it is faster to use the Split PDF tool — select the pages you want to keep, and download just those pages.
Removing sensitive information
Before sharing a document externally, you might need to remove pages that contain internal notes, draft content, or confidential information. Select those pages and delete them before sending.
Cleaning up before merging
If you are combining multiple PDFs with the Merge tool, it helps to remove unnecessary pages from each file first so the final document is clean.
Does this affect quality?
No. Pages are removed by copying the remaining pages into a new PDF. No re-encoding happens — text, images, and formatting remain identical to the original.
Privacy
Your PDF never leaves your browser. The deletion happens entirely in JavaScript on your device. Nothing is uploaded, cached, or logged.
