IntegrationsNAS

Your NAS,sorted where it is.

A Scans share on the office Synology full of scan_0412.pdf, and ten years of client folders nobody dares to touch. Run a small helper on the NAS and the assistant reads each file, then names and files it right there. Nothing leaves the building.

Connecting a NAS comes with the Max plan or any Team plan.

New conversation

Ask for anything to do with the files in Clients.

It looks before it acts, shows every change before or as it happens, and can undo what it did.

The real assistant, sorting a sample share on a NAS. The buttons work.

What you can ask

Ask about a share on the NAS

Every change is shown as one plan first, and the files stay on the NAS.

  • Sort the Scans share by clientReads each scan and proposes every move as one plan.
  • Rename every scan to the client, the kind and the dateReads each page and names it. The scanner’s numbers are gone.
  • Which client folders have no signed contract?Reads each folder and lists the ones without one.
  • From now on, file new scans by client and yearBecomes a workflow that watches that share around the clock, because the NAS never sleeps.
  • Copy the 2025 invoices to the accountant’s Google DriveCopies them from the NAS into the drive, after you confirm.
  • Keep the agent out of HRSet that share to Names and dates only: it organises by name and date and never reads a document into its index.

Files you already have

Can The Drive AI organize the files already on my NAS?

Yes, in place, and without uploading them. Pair the NAS and the assistant works on its shares from the app or on a schedule. Connecting a NAS comes with the Max plan or any Team plan.

  • The assistant in the appYes, in place

Run the helper on the NAS and ask the assistant to sort, rename, move, or read what is on a share. The files stay on the NAS; the assistant keeps a catalogue of them and reads a file only when a task needs it.

  • A scheduled workflowYes, in place, on a schedule

Point a workflow at a share and set each run to go through every file rather than only new ones. It reads each file and renames or moves it inside the share, and a NAS is always on, so it never waits.

    How workflows work
  • The browser extensionNot here

The extension runs on Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Dropbox pages. A share on a NAS is not a page, so the helper is the way in.

How it works

Pair it. Ask it. Approve it.

01

Run the helper

Settings › Agent › Pair a device gives you a Docker compose file with the pairing code filled in. Paste it into Container Manager, Portainer or a shell, mount the shares you want, start it. It dials out; nothing on the NAS is opened to the internet.

02

Ask in a sentence

Sort a share, rename files, find what is missing, or build a workflow on it. The files stay on the NAS; the assistant reads one only when a task needs it.

03

Approve the plan

Big changes are shown as one plan before anything moves. Deletions go to the share’s own recycle bin, and undo puts every file back.
