Browser Extension

AI file management, inside your cloud storage.

The same agent as the web app, in Chrome's side panel. Move, share, rename, organize, and create files in plain English while you browse Google Drive, Google Docs, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Dropbox. Files stay where they are. Nothing is imported.

Free to install. Working in your connected drives comes with Max and Team.

It opens beside the drive you already have open.

It knows which folder you are looking at, so “sort this” means this one.

New conversation

Ask for anything to do with the files in Clients.

It looks before it acts, shows every change before or as it happens, and can undo what it did.

The agent the extension opens, replaying a run on a sample Google Drive folder. The buttons work.

How it works

Install once. Works everywhere.

01

Install the extension

Add The Drive AI from the Chrome Web Store and sign in with your The Drive AI account.

02

Open your drive

Browse Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Dropbox as you normally would. Click the extension icon to open the agent in the side panel.

03

Ask in plain English

Type what you want to do — move files, share folders, rename documents, create spreadsheets. The AI handles the rest.

Google Drive

Google Drive

Recognises drive.google.com and Google Docs. Manage files, shared drives, and folders with AI.

Microsoft OneDrive

Microsoft OneDrive

Recognises OneDrive pages. Same agent across your OneDrive files.

SharePoint

SharePoint

Recognises SharePoint Online document libraries. Work in team sites without leaving them.

Dropbox

Dropbox

Recognises dropbox.com. Organize, share, and manage your Dropbox storage with AI.

Extension or web app

Where you are working decides which one you open.

Both are the same agent, with the same conversations and the same reach. The difference is where it sits, and workflows cover the files that have not arrived yet.

The extension, beside the drive you have open

Open the side panel on a Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Dropbox page and the agent knows which file or folder you mean. It sorts, renames, moves, and shares what is already there, and the files never leave your storage. Working in your connected drives comes with Max and Team.

The web app, for everything in one place

The same agent works on files in The Drive AI — uploads, email attachments, imports — and directly in your connected Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint and Dropbox. It is also where you sign, share, and manage files with your team.

Workflows, for files that have not arrived yet

Standing instructions in plain English rather than a conversation. A workflow files each new arrival from Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Teams, Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Dropbox, and a scheduled one can go back through every file in a folder you point it at, renaming and moving them in place.

How workflows work

Capabilities

Everything you can do, in plain English

Move and organize files

Tell the AI to move files between folders, create new folder structures, or reorganize entire directories — all from the side panel, in the drive you are looking at.

Share files instantly

Share files or folders with teammates by describing who should have access. The AI handles permissions and sends the invite.

Rename in bulk

Rename files using natural language rules. "Rename all invoices to include the vendor name and date" — done in seconds.

Find anything by describing it

Search your connected drives by content, not just filenames. "Find the contract we signed with Acme last quarter."

Create files on the fly

Generate documents, spreadsheets, and notes and save them where you are working. Describe what you need and the agent creates it.

The same agent as the web app

Your conversations are the ones you have in the web app. Ask about the file or folder on screen and the agent already knows which one you mean, answering with citations.

Use cases

Just type what you need

"Move all the Q2 reports into a new folder called Q2 2025"

"Share the marketing deck with sarah@company.com as view-only"

"Rename these screenshots to include the project name and date"

"Find the PDF that has our pricing table"

"Create a spreadsheet with columns for name, email, and status"

"Organize my Downloads folder by file type"

"Who has access to the board meeting notes?"

"Create a new folder structure for the product launch"

Why use it

Stop clicking. Start asking.

No context switching

The agent sits in the side panel next to your drive. No new tabs, no separate app. Ask questions and perform actions right where your files are.

Faster than clicking through menus

Moving 20 files into the right folders takes minutes manually. With AI, it takes one sentence.

Smarter than native search

Describe what you are looking for in your own words. The AI understands context, not just keywords.

Works across all your storage

Same commands, same agent across Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint and Dropbox. One tool to learn.

FAQ

Questions answered

Can it organize the files I already have?

Yes. Open a connected drive and ask the agent to sort, rename, or move what is already sitting there. The files stay in Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint and Dropbox the whole time; nothing is copied into The Drive AI and nothing is migrated. Working in your connected drives comes with Max and Team.

Which cloud platforms are supported?

The extension opens in Chrome's side panel and recognises Google Drive, Google Docs, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Dropbox pages, so the agent knows which file or folder you are looking at. For the agent to act on those files, connect the drive to The Drive AI; working in your connected drives comes with Max and Team.

Does it access my files?

The extension only acts on files when you ask it to. It tells the agent which page you are on, and the agent reaches your files through the drive connection you set up in The Drive AI, reading content only when a request needs it.

Which browsers are supported?

Currently available for Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc). Firefox and Safari support is planned.

Is it free?

The extension is free to install, and the agent in it runs on your The Drive AI plan, with the same limits as the web app. Working in your connected drives comes with Max and Team.

Does it work with my existing folder structure?

Yes. The extension works with whatever folder structure you already have. It reads and respects your existing organization and only makes changes when you ask.

Do I need this if I already use the web app?

It is the same agent. The extension puts it beside the drive you already have open, so you do not switch tabs. The web app is where you also manage, sign, and share files with your team, and where you build workflows that file new arrivals automatically — including a scheduled one that goes back through a connected folder on its own. Most people use both.

Manage files with AI, right where they live.

Install the extension and manage your Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint and Dropbox files with natural language, beside the page you already have open.
