I'm currently a thesis-based Master's student in Computing Science at the University of Alberta. My current research interests are reinforcement learning, deep learning, and games. Previous to this, I graduated from Caldwell University with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. In my undergraduate, I was a Presidential Scholar, and a DAAD RISE Scholar, and also got departmental honours in Computer Science. I also worked as a research intern at the Munich University of Applied Science. Reach out to me to talk about anything!

Graduate Teaching Assistant,
University of Alberta, Canada (August 2021 - Present)

Designed, taught, and graded labs for CMPUT 404 web application and architecture course.

Research Assistant,
MovingAI Lab, Edmonton, Canada (May 2022 - December 2022)

Worked on optimizing AlphaZero in the Chinese checkers game
Built wrapper around existing code base in Python, and built models from the ground up using technologies such as Jax, Haiku, and Optax
Working on verifying results, and using transfer learning to see model efficacy in larger board sizes.

Student researcher
Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute, Canada (Dec. 2021 - Feb. 2022)

Worked with the project lead team to understand clients' AI problem, and formulated ways to solve it.
Did extensive literature review regarding heart anomaly detection algorithms
Prepared project reports, and was mentioned as one of the outstanding members of the team.

Research Intern
Munich University of Applied Science, Germany (May 2019 - August 2019)

Worked at Computer Graphics Lab to develop a virtual environment, advised by Mr. Markus Miller.
Created a test dataset of real and virtual images to determine the light direction in a real scene.
Evaluated the effect of Error Correction Code in GPU-VRAM during the training of Neural Networks.

A context-aware storage system where you can build a knowledge base from multiple sources.
Ask questions about your documents, and create new documents within the context of your documents.

Neex: NEPSE portfolio tracker,(https://neexportfolio.com/) May 2022-

Built a portfolio tracker for Android and iOS for Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).
Used React Native for mobile development, and built an API server with NodeJs, micro-services with Flask, and JavaScript, and a database using MySQL.
